A little about me

Version:1.0 StartHTML:0000000171 EndHTML:0000005503 StartFragment:0000002364 EndFragment:0000005467 SourceURL:file://localhost/Volumes/NO%20NAME/stupid%20people.doc Well a little about me, I come from Massachusetts, western mass, Hicksville, boring town, old fogy-vile, it’s like being trapped in my own personal hell.  The only thing my town is missing is tornado to run over the trailer park, but alas, tornado’s never come up here, they stick to trailer parks in the Midwest and the bible belt, which normally would be fine with me, but I would like to see some action every once and a while.  I have lived her almost my whole life, except for the 6 years I was living in glorious California.  I went to college in san Francisco and worked and LA.  Now that’s a town that I belong in, clubs and concerts every weekend, bars that don’t have country music on it, clubs that have a variety of people not the same people dressed up differently every night.  Generally different kinds of people all mingling together, dancing with music, business men rubbing elbows with drag queens, Abercrombie and Fitch models dancing with Goths, all in habiting the same space brought together by the need to interact with someone who is not themselves.  Some come for the drinks, the music, the ladies, the guys, but all come for the simple purpose of social interaction on different levels.  No two people in San Francisco think alike, where as back home, everyone thinks alike, good or bad, everyone had the same basic mentality.  It’s the same at work, you would think that in a somewhat respectable company that people would have different opinions and welcome progress and change, but not here.  What worked 30 years ago is what apparently works today.  Sure we sell candles, but we could be selling a lot more if we just changed ever so slightly to follow the times, and the demographic shift.  30 years ago our clients were 30 some thing with familys and a decint income, but know our original 30 somethings are 60 years old with grandkids and don’t care about over priced candles.  Now a days 30 some things are workaholics without families and have money to burn on themselves but we over look them and concentrate on our older, original customers.  Its like as soon as people hit the hampden county border they stop thinking about life outside our little county.  The world doesn’t exist out side the county, maybe the county next to us, Franklin County, but the people here don’t or can’t see past their front yards.
